Everyone recommends something different, but here’s the basics. Contact your artist if you have any questions.
KEEP IT CLEAN
Wash your tattoo. Ideally with non-scented soap, but if you don’t have any, still wash it and buy some later. Wash it when you take your bandage off, and regularly for 10-14 days after your appointment. If it gets dirty, wash it again
PROTECT THE SCABS
Don’t pick and scratch, if it’s itchy, give it a slap. If your tattoo is dry, lotion it with non-scented lotion. Don’t soak you tattoo, it’ll soften the scabs and they’ll rub off easier.
